Bama Heritage

Morning · On an empty stomach

Quiet Strength

A teaspoon of Bama with warm water and a squeeze of lemon. A gentle way to wake the digestive system and protect the stomach lining. A practice Bama performed every dawn, without a name for it.

SCROLL

The morning ritual

Awake before the day
begins.

In Bama’s time, the morning began before sunrise. Before bread, before conversation, before anything is asked of the body, a small gesture of care. Bama used to say that the first thing you give your body in the morning tells it what kind of day to prepare for.

One teaspoon of cold-pressed olive oil on an empty stomach stimulates the digestive system, coats the stomach lining, and delivers a concentrated dose of polyphenols and oleocanthal, the compound responsible for olive oil’s natural anti-inflammatory properties, before anything else dilutes it.

Consistent morning use over weeks noticeably improves digestion, reduces bloating, and creates a steadier baseline energy throughout the day.

How to do it

Three gestures.
Every morning.

01

Pour

Measure one teaspoon of Bama Heritage into a small glass or directly onto a spoon. Do this before you drink coffee, eat breakfast, or take any supplements.

02

Add warm water and lemon

Pour 200ml of warm (not boiling) water and add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. The lemon stimulates bile production; the warm water helps absorption. Stir gently.

03

Drink slowly

Drink the mixture slowly over 2-3 minutes. If you can, we recommend waiting 15-20 minutes before eating breakfast. Repeat every morning. The effect compounds over weeks, not days.

Why it works

What the morning oil does for your health

Cold-pressed olive oil taken on an empty stomach reaches the gut lining in its most concentrated, unmodified form. No food to compete with it. No heat to degrade its compounds.

The polyphenols in Bama, particularly oleocanthal and oleuropein, have a measurable anti-inflammatory effect. Oleic acid, the primary fat in olive oil, supports the mucosal lining of the stomach and intestines.

Digestion

Stimulates peristalsis and bile production. Reduces bloating and sluggishness over consistent use.

Inflammation

Oleocanthal acts similarly to ibuprofen at a molecular level. Daily intake builds cumulative anti-inflammatory protection.

Stomach lining

Oleic acid coats and protects the stomach and intestinal mucosa. Especially useful before coffee or acidic foods.

Energy balance

Healthy fats as the first input of the day provide steady fuel and help regulate cortisol and blood sugar response.
